Hey everyone, I am preparing for my third full-length album to be released this Spring. Late March/Early April is most likely.

I gotta say, I am not totally I remember the specifics of making it. My kid was in the 1 year old range, and everything they say they true is about living in a restless fog in that era of parenting. I remember things happening otherwise and the art and literature I was inspired by. I did quite a bit of the album while I temporarily lived in Norfolk, UK. I became obsessed with East Anglia in general and I know it influenced this album. I also leaned more heavily on the feminist themes in my music and persona in this album.

I was especially inspired by the film HOUSE OF TOLERANCE by Bertrand Bonello. I named one of the songs after a line from the film. My music has often been inspired by the everyday lives of women and the spaces in which they reside aka “the domestic sphere”. I was also very inspired by Max Ophüls’ LE PLAISIR and named a song after that one, another film about the everyday lives of women.

This will be my first self-released album and I am thinking of starting my own label. I may call it Scalloped Valance records, but we will see. I have always wanted to start my own label, so this might be my chance.
